History

Patients' Choice Medical Center of Humphreys County (formerly Humphreys County Memorial Hospital) has been meeting the healthcare needs of residents of Humphreys County and the Mid-Delta region since 1950.

In April 2008, the hospital was purchased by Rural Healthcare Developers. CEO Ray Shoemaker had been managing the hospital since January 2007.

Under his administration, great strides were made in improving inpatient services and expanding its reach to outpatient clinics throughout the Delta.

PCMCHC now fully utilizes its 10-bed Senior Care unit, provides a Swing Bed unit as well as its acute care.

Patients' Choice Medical Center of Humphreys County is located in Belzoni, MS, known as the Catfish Capital of the World. Catfish and cotton are the major products of this rich agricultural region.
